Washington State Vs. Colorado Score Update: Marshall Lobbestael, Cougars Enter Halftime With 13-10 Deficit

The Washington State Cougars trail the Colorado Buffaloes 13-10 after the first half of Saturday's game. Both teams have struggled to score but did manage to put some points up on the board to set up an interesting second half.

The Cougars got stopped on a 4th-and-1 in the opening minutes of the second quarter. Colorado got the ball back near midfield at their own 44-yard line and drove down the field to record their first touchdown of the game. Buffaloes quarterback Tyler Hansen capped off the drive with a nine-yard touchdown pass to Paul Richardson.

The Cougars stalled on their next drive at around midfield and were forced to punt the ball. Colorado ran the ball with six straight running plays and probably should have kept pounding the ball for the remainder of the half. Instead, Hansen threw an incompletion and then an interception to Washington State's Deone Bucannon to turn the tide of the game.

Washington State capitalized with a 28-yard field goal by Andrew Furney to tie the game up at 10-10, Colorado got the last laugh when kicker Will Oliver netted a 48-yard field goal to break the tie and give Colardo the 13-10 lead.

Cougars quarterback Marshall Lobbestael has 161 yards on 15-of-24 completions heading into halftime. His main target, Jared Karstetter, has 69 yards on five receptions. Running back Carl Winston leads the Cougar ground game with 30 rushing yards on seven carries.

Colorado will receive the kickoff to start the second hall.
