As he does every week, CougCenter’s Craig Powers does an excellent job breaking down the opponent, focusing on the UCLA Bruins this week. The Bruins are coming in hot, taking down the Texas Longhorns on the road last week behind a powerful rushing attack. Powers also looked at what it will take for WSU to be competitive against the Bruins.

The Bruins are in trouble if…they get stuck in third and long. As I said above, they are among the worst in the country on obvious passing downs. If their running game is not picking up good chunks of yardage on first and second down, this offense will not be effective.

UCLA and Washington State kick it off Saturday at noon.
