USC safety Drew McAllister couldn’t recover from hip surgery and will spend the rest of the season on the sidelines after undergoing another procedure. In other news, Patrick Hall has been reinstated and will rejoin the Trojans. Hall was suspended for undisclosed reasons late in the fall camp.

McAllister played extensively as a backup defensive back and on special teams as a sophomore last season. He missed spring practice with the 20th-ranked Trojans after a prior surgery on his hip.
