The Washington Huskies are among the leaders for 5-star small forward Jabari Bird.
The 2013 basketball recruiting cycle is in full swing and Lorenzo Romar and the Washington Huskies are among the leaders for one of the top recruits in the class.
Jabari Bird, a 5-star small forward recruit from Richmond, Calif., has Washington in his top four after eliminating Arizona, according to a report from Bruce Pasco of the Arizona Daily Star.
The report says the Huskies, along with California, are Birds leaders. His AAU coach, Derrick Artis, said Bird is planning to visit Washington along with California, Colorado and Oregon in September.
Bird, a 6-foot-5 small forward, is rated as a 5-star recruit by both Rivals.com and Scout.com. He is the No. 5 small forward according to Scout while Rivals ranks him as the No. 18 recruit in the 2013 class. Nigel Williams-Goss, a 4-star point guard, is currently Washington's only verbal commit in the 2013 class.
