Brandon Roy Makes Verbal Agreement To Minnesota Timberwolves, According To Report

Stay connected for news and updates

The Brandon Roy comeback appears to be all set. Roy has apparently made an agreement with an NBA team and will likely slide into the starting lineup. Talk about a pronounced return! Here is the news from Jason Quick of the Oregonian.

With Minnesota having no shooting guard, Roy fills a particular need for the Timberwolves. If Roy is healthy, he would be a welcome addition to Minnesota, who could use some perimeter shooting and playmaking at the shooting guard position. The Timberwolves just aren't strong enough on the outside to really complement young stars like Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love, so perhaps Roy will be that type of guy who helps take Minnesota to that next level of competition.

Update: Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld reports that the deal is two years and $10 million overall.

Talk about Roy with Timberwolves fans by heading on over to Canis Hoopus. Discuss Roy with Husky fans by hitting up UW Dawg Pound.
