Kenneth Walker: California Wide Receiver Commit Now Considering Washington

Kenneth Walker, a wide receiver recruit from Kennedy HS (Richmond, Calif.) will visit Washington next week according to Greg Biggins from ESPN.

The departure of California Bears Wide Receivers coach Eric Kiseau prompted Walker to re-open his recruitment — he had committed to the Bears in late August last year. Kiseau is now the offensive coordinator at Washington and figures to play a huge role in Washington's ability to sway Walker.

Rivals.com gave Walker a three-star rating; all but three schools from the Pac-12 had offered Walker before he committed to Cal. He is also is considering UCLA after going on a visit this past weekend.

SB Nation's California Golden Blogs offered this analysis of Walker prior to his commitment last summer:

Walker shows solid speed, good ability to push the pile. He does a good job goading his defenders inside on his end-arounds to think he's turning inside before making another cut to get to the outside, a skill that would be nice for him to replicate at the next level. Actually, I think of Walker as a potentially strong kick returner; he's very patient, waits for the blocks to unfold, and is very difficult for the opposition to take down.
