Alabama Hires UW OC Doug Nussmeier, According To Report

The Washington Huskies might be losing their offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Jan 15, 2012 - The Washington Huskies have one of the best offenses in the Pac-12, partly due to the offensive innovation of their OC Doug Nussmeier. They definitely do a good job of running the offense and putting their skill players in the right position to produce points, even though they did struggle against upper-tier competition. Nussmeier and head coach Steve Sarkisian showed what they could do with ample preparation, as they put up 56 points on Baylor in the 2011 Alamo Bowl.

That was impressive enough for the Alabama Crimson Tide apparently.

Alabama just did capture the national championship, but their offense was hardly impressive in doing so, particularly against LSU. THe Tide could definitely Having an innovative playcaller like Nussmeier could do a lot for this offense and keep them going in the right direction.
