Washington Huskies defensive end Hau'oli Jamora will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL during Saturday's win over the Cal Bears. Jamora went down in the first half and never returned after crumpling to the ground and being helped off the field. Jamora had been a key piece in the Huskies' defensive line rotation, manning the end spot for the first four games of the season.
Seattle Times reporter Bob Condotta looked at what the loss may mean for the Huskies.
The 6-foot-3, 247-pound Jamora has been UW's best pass rusher since emerging as a starter midway through last season, playing primarily at the weak-side end position. He is tied for fifth on the team in tackles with 15 and second in tackles-for-a-loss with three, along with one sack and had 49 tackles and eight for a loss last season, when he was named the team's Most Outstanding Freshmen.
It's unclear how the Huskies will deal with Jamora's injuries as of now. In all likelihood, a mix of players will be used to soften the blow of losing Jamora for the season, with Josh Shirley and others rotating in to fill the void.

Washington Huskies running back Johri Fogerson came hobbling off the field in the Huskies' opening offensive drive. The injury occurred on a third and eight situation. The Husky trainers are currently looking at his left knee. It is doubtful he will return in the game.
Fogerson has been fragile to say the least, he entered the season with an aggravated hip pointer, the same injury that kept him sidelined in 2010.
Starting defensive end Hau'oli Jamora injured his left knee towards the end of the first quarter at the beginning of Cal's third drive. Jamora was down at the fifteen yard line being attended to by Husky trainers, he was later helped off the field and was hobbling.
Redshirt freshman Josh Shirley replaced Jamora and the Huskies shifted to a five-man front to counter Cal trying to run straight at the vacant spot that Jamora occupied. Cal will look to get running back Isi Sofele involved in order to take advantage of Jamora's absence.
UPDATE: UW has announced that Jamora is out for the rest of the game with a left knee sprain. Fogerson is doubtful to return with a left knee contusion.
