Washington Huskies Fall Practice: CB Quinton Richardson Suffers Leg Injury

Washington Huskies starting cornerback Quinton Richardson suffered a significant leg injury in Saturday's practice when he collided with freshman wide receiver Kasen Williams, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports. The good news is that head coach Steve Sarkisian doesn't believe it's a knee injury, which could have meant "end of season". The bad news is that broken bone isn't out of the question, which could mean "out for long period of time which might not be end of the season, but will suck anyway." The better case scenario would be high ankle sprain, which would mean he'd be out for only a limited period of time and should return sooner to the lineup

Richardson was supposed to team up with Desmond Trufaunt to provide a solid one-two combo at corner, so it was critically imperative that he stayed healthy. Greg Ducre will have to step in, but Justin Glenn suffers from injury issues and Adam Long is out with a torn ACL, leaving Antavius Sims and Marcus Peters to battle for playing time.
