Thursday's Sweet 16 games are over and they did not disappoint. The Pac-10 showed it may not have been as weak as the perception, a certain Cinderella continued its run through the bracket and individual performances reigned supreme -- one in a win and one in a loss. Half of the Elite Eight bracket is set, but we've still got a full slate of games to go on Friday. Before we look forward, it's time to take one last look back at Thursday's wild games.
The tone was set early as each of the first two games went down to the wire. UConn and San Diego State settled it in regulation, but only after Kemba Walker took over, leading the Huskies to a 74-67 win. Florida and BYU, on the other hand, couldn't get it done in regulation and headed to overtime. Jimmer Fredette was strong for the Cougars, but Florida overpowered BYU in overtime to advance with an 84-73 win.
In the late games, upsets were the theme. Arizona headed into the half trailing before blowing the doors off Duke, outscoring the Blue Devils 55-33 in the second half, in a 93-77 win. Derrick Williams finished with a double-double, including a game-high 32 points. Butler also made it back to the Elite Eight by slowing down Wisconsin to advance with a 61-54 win.
