Angelo Chol Announcement Set For Thursday, Reportedly Streaming Live Online

Highly touted power forward Angelo Chol will announce his college decision on Thursday and the Washington Huskies appear to have the inside track for his services. Chol, a four-star forward out of California, visited Washington last weekend, taking in the campus with Tony Wroten and Hikeem Stewart, members of the Huskies’ recruiting class of 2011. Judging from Wroten and Stewart’s reaction after his visit, it appears Chol is a near lock to pick Washington on Thursday.

According to a report by Scout.com’s Evan Daniels (via Christian Caple from the Seattle PI) Chol will make his decision, and announce it to the world, in a press conference at Hoover High School. For Washington fans itching to watch it live, a live stream will reportedly be provided at 12:45 p.m., available at Kbcsports’ website. Chol has visited Washington, North Carolina, Arizona, Kansas and Alabama during the recruitment process and will choose between the schools on Thursday.

Chol has been a top target of Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar, who’s looking to round out the class of 2011 with an inside presence. With Matthew Bryan-Amaning gone, the Huskies guard-heavy rotation clearly needs another force in the middle, and Chol could be that player. As a freshman, it appears Chol would have a chance to contribute immediate for the Huskies.
