Washington vs. Duke Final Score: Huskies Battle Back In Second Half, Fall 86-80

The Washington Huskies battled back in the second half against a tough Duke Blue Devils team, but the deficit created in the first half was simply too much for UW to overcome. The team fell 86-80 on Saturday afternoon, which is a respectable loss against a top-5 opponent.

It was essentially a three-man show for Washington. Tony Wroten led the way with 23 points, while C.J. Wilcox added 22 of his own. Terrence Ross recorded 16 points and seven rebounds as well. Other than these three, Abdul Gaddy (seven points) was the only one to play a big role offensively for the Huskies.

The Blue Devils were relentless on the offensive end of the court and saw freshman Austin Rivers lead the way with 18 points. Andre Dawkins scored 17, while big men Ryan Kelly and Mason Plumlee combined for 28.

This is a tough loss for UW, but the team continues to improve on a daily basis. Next up for the Huskies is UC Santa Barbara, who they will face on Friday, December 16. For more on Washington, head on over to UW Dawg Pound.
