Auburn High School defensive tackle Danny Shelton, a top-target of Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian, has committed to the Huskies. According to reports, Shelton pulled the trigger on Friday, just ahead of the New Year and following Washington's 19-7 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Holiday Bowl.
Tony DiFrancisco, a recruiting analyst for Duck Sports Authority, tweeted the news this afternoon. Shelton favored Oregon during the late stages of his recruitment, but stayed home and chose the Huskies.
