Tony Wroten Recruiting Updates: Wroten Chats, Jabari Brown To Commit Thursday Too?

Here are a few late-breaking updates on the eve of Seattle-area class of 2011 guard Tony Wroten Jr.'s college commitment decision.

First, Wroten reports on Twitter that fellow class of 2011 guard prospect Jabari Brown will also announce his commitment tomorrow.

As we noted earlier, Wroten and Jabari Brown both watched a University of Washington football game together in October and are said to be close. When class of 2011 prospect Hikeem Stewart committed to Washington in September, he specifically mentioned Wroten and Brown as two players he was trying to recruit to Washington. While there are questions about whether the two guards can play together, there's no doubt University of Washington Huskies head coach Lorenzo Romar would love to land both.

In a Seattle Times chat on Wednesday, Wroten teased an announcement twist. "Whether I got to UW or Louisville, the way I announce is going to be very interesting," Wroten wrote. This statement, plus the news about Brown's possible commitment, is fueling speculation locally that the two will head to Washington together as a package.

With that said, when Wroten was asked specifically about Louisville, he stated that Rick Pitino's Cardinals "have a good chance like everyone else on my list" and that the Cardinals coaching staff had been in regular contact with him over the past 24 hours.

Wroten also stated clearly that he was "still undecided until tomorrow at 3 p.m."
