Photos: A Historic Night For Seattle Storm, Chicago Sky on 10th Anniversary of September 11 Attacks

It was a historic night at KeyArena on the day Seattle Storm fans remembered 9/11, which included Katie Smith getting her 6000th point, Brian Agler tying Van Chancellor for most coaching wins in women's basketball history, and Sylvia Fowles capping off a season for the record books.

Seattle Storm Defeat Chicago Sky: Brian Agler, Sylvia Fowles, Katie Smith Reach Milestones

As already described in the storystream above, Seattle Storm coach Brian Agler and guard Katie Smith fittingly reached career milestones together in their 81-70 win over the Chicago Sky tonight. But Sylvia Fowles' milestone had to be bittersweet for Sky fans. Fowles was absolutely dominant in the fourth quarter, scoring 19 of the 30 she needed to become the second player to average 20 and 10 for a season in that final 10 minutes. While it was nice to see the Sky's guards looking for her, she got little help throughout the game and they ultimately lost. It's an unfortunately fitting way to end a season in which so much more was expected.

Indiana's Tamika Catchings and New York's Cappie Pondexter rounded out the top three. Head coach Brian Agler joins his star player as an award recipient for WNBA Coach of the Year.
