With Kevin Durant on the cusp of something special and high expectations for the Thunder, most NBA fans are excited about their season-opener tonight. But even as they open their third season in Seattle, it's hard to imagine any Sonics fans forgetting the past and re-embracing this franchise.

Of course, you already know about Brandon Roy, Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford, and dunk champion Nate Robinson.
But there are a few newer faces from Seattle as well as a few familiar ones changing places that are worth keeping track of as NBA training camps start up.

With the Sonics gone, consider the Adonai Hood Classic on July 10 and 11 at Garfield High School as both a celebration of local talent and perhaps one more reason why this city deserves a NBA team.
