The Seattle Sounders picked up their first win of the season on Saturday, downing the Chicago Fire at Qwest Field, 2-1. But it was forward O'Brian White that stole the show early, hammering home a beautiful header from just inside the 18 to put the Sounders ahead just six minutes into the game. Between two defenders, White found an inch of space, burying a cross from Mauro Rosale and freezing the goalkeeper in the process.↵
It was a jaw-dropping display and an excellent goal for White, who's been on a bit of a tear lately, scoring a goal against the San Jose Earthquakes, burying the aforementioned and assisting on Steve Zakuani's go-ahead goal. The latter two are show below in the highlight video from Saturday's match.
White's header is up for the MLS Goal of the Week, as well. You can vote for it here.
