The Seahawks will welcome back their leading receiver from last season, when second-year wide receiver Doug Baldwin returns to action on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

The Seattle Seahawks received some good news on Wednesday when wide receiver Doug Baldwin returned to practice and head coach Pete Carroll announced that the second-year wideout will play in the team's Week 4 matchup with the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, according to the team's blog.

Baldwin was Seattle's leading receiver in 2011 with 51 catches for 788 yards and four touchdowns. He sat out last Monday night's game against the Green Bay Packers after injuring his shoulder in practice last week.

In two games for the Seahawks in 2012, Baldwin has just three catches for 13 yards. The team's passing attack has been abysmal in 2012, and is ranked a league-worst 32nd, averaging just 127.7 yards per game. Baldwin will likely be quarterback Russell WIlson's primary target when he returns on Sunday, joining receivers Golden Tate (six catches, 106 yards, two touchdowns) and Sidney Rice (eight catches, 91 yards, one touchdown) to fill out the Seahawks receiving corps.

Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m. PT at the Edward Jones Dome and the game will be televised on FOX.
