Stay connected for news and updates

The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft on Thursday night has seen no shortage of last-minute trades, swaps and moves, many of which range from eyebrow-raising to outright shocking.

The most significant trade for the Northwest involves the Seattle Seahwks trading down in the order, as the Philadelphia Eagles were desperate to move up and ensure they could select Mississippi St. Bulldogs defensive tackle Fletcher Cox.

In exchange for their previous No. 12 spot, the Seahawks receive the Eagles' No. 15 pick, as well as overall picks Nos. 114 and 172, meaning that Seattle will receive an extra pick in the fourth and sixth rounds.

A great move for Seattle, as they only lose three spots and pick up two extra players for their trouble.
