Stay connected for news and updates

With the 8th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have selected Ryan Tannehill, a quarterback out of Texas A&M. Tannehill had been a popular projection for the Seahawks in the run up to the Draft, even despite their recent signing of QB Matt Flynn in free agency..

Sports Illustrated's prospect scouting database provides a succinct analysis on Tannehill as a prospect:

Tannehill displayed terrific progress the past two seasons after moving back to the quarterback position from receiver. He has a lot of potential. May need time to polish his skills, but his stock is on the rise.

The Dolphins next pick is the 10th selection of the 2nd round, 42 overall.
