NFL Mock Draft 2012: Seahawks Select David DeCastro According to SI's Don Banks

The Seattle Seahawks certainly have some decisions to make before the 2012 NFL Draft, especially when it comes to how their utilize their first round pick this year.

Sports Illustrated Don Banks made quite the interesting choice in his latest mock draft, choosing offensive lineman David DeCastro with the No. 12 overall pick instead of trying to pick up a offense target or defensive player.

Here's what Banks has to say about DeCastro and the Seahawks:

The Seahawks are out of the quarterback market in the draft, having signed free agent veteran Matt Flynn on Sunday night. With Robert Gallery released and Steve Hutchinson signing in Tennessee, DeCastro has emerged as an obvious candidate for the No. 12 slot. He's the kind of tough, physical player that Seattle line coach Tom Cable prefers, and as the top-rated guard prospect, he's a nice melding of value and draft slot.

DeCastro did a great job with his O-line with the Stanford Cardinal in his tenure there, keeping Andrew Luck protected and upright more often than not. Hopefully he can do the same thing for Matt Flynn and Tarvaris Jackson. Someone special would likely have to drop to Seattle for them not to take a player of DeCastro's caliber in this position.
