NFL Free Agency 2012: Mario Williams to Bills, Steve Hutchinson to Titans

In a move that surprised no one this morning, the Bills have announced that they've signed DE Mario Williams to a 6-year, $96 million contract. Williams was rumored to be a target for the Seahawks, but the connection was never verified nor did he make a trip to Seattle.

Another player linked to the Seahawks was OG Steve Hutchinson, a key cog in the Seahawks' 2005 run to the Super Bowl. Hutch visited the VMAC on Wednesday night to meet with team officials and to tour the facility, but ultimately decided to take a three-year deal with the Titans today. This move furthers speculation that the Titans are the leaders for QB Peyton Manning, as the team attempts to build a serviceable offensive line to protect the future hall-of-famer.

If Manning is signed by the Titans, it's been speculated that they will release or trade another former Seahawk, QB Matt Hasselbeck. From everything that I've read, a reunion tour in Seattle for Hass is highly improbable, and instead it's more likely that he'd either look for a trade to or sign with the Cleveland Browns and Mike Holmgren.

In the last couple of weeks and days, the Hawks have re-signed RB Marshawn Lynch, RT Breno Giacomini, DE Red Bryant, G/T Paul McQuistan, LB Heath Farwell, and have released LG Robert Gallery and CB Marcus Trufant. They're hosting QB Matt Flynn, TE Visanthe Shiancoe, and DT/DE Jason Jones today.

Make sure you head to Field Gulls for more on the Seahawks and NFL Free Agency.
