Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Steve Hutchinson was a Pro Bowl player from 2003-05 with the Seattle Seahwaks before being designed as a transition player. Hutchinson was signed by the Minnesota Vikings in 2006 to a seven year, $49 million deal. Hutchinson made a few more Pro Bowls before being released this offseason.

And now he’s in Seattle checking out the team’s new digs in Renton. Hutchinson’s role with Seattle is undetermined. Currently, the Seahawks are projected to have Robert Gallery starting at left guard and John Moffitt starting at right guard. But Moffitt is coming off major knee surgery that cut his season short last year, and Gallery suffered through an injury-plagued season last year

Seattle could use more offensive line help up front if they want to unleash the power running attack of Marshawn Lynch, and a guard like that is one of a kind. However, Hutchinson is probably past his prime at 34 years old and might struggle producing at an All-Pro level like he used to. It'll be interesting to see if the offensive guard decides to return to his first stomping grounds.
