The Seattle Seahawks have some free agent issues, and defensive tackle Red Bryant figures to be one of the top guys they want to keep it up. However, it's not certain they would want to risk that much money on him. Bryant had a solid season, finishing with 32 tackles, a sack and two interceptions, but he has been inconsistent in his playing time before the 2011 regular season.
I've also been told that Green Bay has targeted cornerback Brandon Carr and defensive end Red Bryant in free agency— Shawn Zobel (@ShawnZobel_DHQ) March 13, 2012
Another Red Bryant development: Just heard the Seahawks are pessimistic about re-signing him. But is he worth $7M per? bit.ly/wjLkOK— Ian R. Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 13, 2012
It figures that Bryant would be pursued by the Packers and the Patriots. Bryant would provide interior depth for each team, neither of whom were dominant defensively last season, and ranked among the worst in the nation. It'd make sense to take a risk on Red to try and improve things.
