NFL Free Agency 2012: Seahawks Linebacker Leroy Hill Is Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Stay connected for news and updates

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill picked the most inopportune time to get in trouble - again.

According to the Tacoma News Tribune, Hill was arrested for marijuana possession early Saturday morning after police dogs confirmed the smell of an illegal substance emanating from his apartment while performing random floor checks.

Hill has been arrested three times in the past three years including a sentence of 12 months probation for misdemeanor drug possession after being found sleep with marijuana in his car by Atlanta police on Jan. 24, 2009 and for a misdemeanor count of fourth degree assault/domestic violence against his then live-in girlfriend in April 2010.

The soon-to-be-free agent couldn't have picked a worst time. At age 29, he played the full game schedule for the first time in his career and ended up with 89 tackles and four sacks. Great season to go into free agency with but this now puts a black cloud around his future possibilities.
