The Seattle Seahawks need help at a number of positions, but the biggest areas of need are at quarterback and wide receiver. Many mock drafts have them selecting a player from one of those two positions in the first round and SB Nation's latest mock, put together by Brad Wells, is no different.
In SB Nation's latest mock, the Seahawks select Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2012 draft.
Seattle could very well be a landing spot for Peyton Manning. If so, they don't need to do anything too crazy here, like take Oklahoma State's Brandon Weeden. If they get Manning, finding quality receivers for him would become paramount. Floyd is a big target (6-foot-3, 224 pounds) and works the underneath routes really well. This will allow to do what he does best, which is go deep.
If Manning actually would land in Seattle, a pairing of the future hall of fame quarterback and Floyd has the potential to be a two-man highlight reel. It's possible for Manning to play for the Seahawks in 2012, but Seattle natives shouldn't hold their breath. They could go after a quarterback with this pick too.
