Vikings vs. Seahawks: Game time, TV schedule, injury updates and more

Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE

The Seahawks and Vikings will look to avoid two-game losing streaks as the top two running attacks in the league face off.

When the Minnesota Vikings (5-3) visit the Seattle Seahawks (4-4) on Sunday, both teams will be looking to start the second half of the season off on a good note. The teams come in with very similar styles of play, and whichever can play that style the best will come away victorious.

The Vikings and Seahawks have the NFL's top running backs this season in Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch, respectively. Each had less than 15 carries in their previous game, which were losses for both teams. Getting back to the running game will be paramount in determining which squad is successful.

The Vikings will face what is widely considered as the best homefield advantage in the league, as the Seahawks and their rowdy fans have produced a 3-0 home record for the second time in three years. The Seahawks haven't started a season 4-0 at home since 2005 and will look to make that streak a reality on Sunday.

The Seahawks will be without Ben Obomanu, who was placed on injured reserve with a wrist injury. Braylon Edwards might miss a second straight game with a swollen knee. Also, Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin are both battling injuries and may or may not play.

Game Time: 1:05 p.m. PT

TV Coverage: FOX
