Week 5 NFL picks and predictions: Seahawks vs. Panthers

Scott Kane-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

NFL experts are in favor the Panthers beating the Seahawks on Sunday.

The Seahawks head East to face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and the majority of experts think Seattle will drop their third consecutive road game. Seattle comes into the matchup with a 2-2 record, but both wins came at home. The Panthers have lost two straight games and are 1-3 after losing a fourth-quarter lead to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The panel of prognosticators at CBS are 6-2 in favor of the Seahawks covering the +3½ spread, but only two of them believe Seattle will actually win the game. Pete Priscoe has the Panthers winning comfortably, 24-14, and believes that Carolina will be able to put pressure on rookie quarterback Russell Wilson.

Three picks are in at ESPN, and all three are in favor of the Panthers. It appears opinion of the Seahawks has turned negative after their loss at St. Louis in Week 4.

The Seahawks will look to win in an underdog role on Sunday at 1:05 PT on FOX.
