Seahawks Vs. Falcons Injury Report: Kam Chancellor Officially Doubtful With Deep Thigh Bruise

The Seahawks defense took a potential hit this week as strong safety Kam Chancellor has been declared doubtful for Sunday's game with the Falcons because of a deep thigh bruise. Chancellor hasn't practiced at all this week and it's looking like veteran Atari Bigby will get the start.

Chancellor has been playing well for the Seahawks this season and will be sorely missed this week as Atlanta looks to get their run game going. Michael Turner is arguably one of the most difficult running backs to bring down and Chancellor is one of the Seahawks biggest hitters in run support. He's also been effective in coverage so the Seahawks depth will really have to step up.

The likely starter, Atart Bigby, has been good against the pass in his career and should provide solid support in that area this Sunday. He's also good on blitzes and already has a sack this season in limited action. Look for the Seahawks to mix up their personnel groupings this week to get Bigby involved in blitzing and rookie Jeron Johnson may get some looks as well.
