VIDEO: Stephen Paea Bench Press Performance A New NFL Combine Record

Ever wonder what 49 rapid-fire bench press repetitions of 225 pounds looks like? Stephen Paea showed us on Sunday, breaking the existing NFL Combine record on the bench with his impressive display of strength. Paea, the Pac-10 defensive player of the year out of Oregon State, is known for his strength and physical play, but he took it to a whole new level at the combine on Sunday, stealing the spotlight on a day where the focus was on the quarterbacks.

Here's Paea on the bench press, making it looking easy with 225 pounds on the bar (via SB Nation on Twitter).

Nothing like announcing your presence at the combine than with a ridiculous amount of reps on the bench.

The defensive linemen and linebackers are hard at work on Monday, going through a variety of drills at the combine. From the 40 to individual drills, the groups are being tested both physically and mentally as teams work to piece together their draft boards. Paea's performance should be a boost to his draft stock as he recovers from a knee injury suffered at the Senior Bowl.
