NFL Combine Results: Jordan Cameron, Virgil Green Impress During Tight End Workouts

USC tight end Jordan Cameron came out and put on a show during the first day of NFL Combine workouts, running a fast 40 and showing off his athleticism in the three-cone drill and shuttle. It was all about the tight ends and offensive linemen on Saturday, with plenty of tight ends, including Cameron and Nevada’s Virgil Green, showing off some serious speed and agility.

Below is a quick rundown of some of the best results from the drills.

40-yard dash
Robert Housler, FAU 4.54
Jordan Cameron, USC 4.55
Virgil Green, Nevada 4.64
Schuylar Oordt, NIU 4.64

Vertical Jump
Green 42.5 inches
Cameron 37.5 inches
Housler 37 inches
Oordt 36 inches

Three-Cone Drill
Cameron 6.82
Oordt 6.83
Zack Pianalto, UNC 6.85
Green 6.9

20-yard Shuttle

Lance Kendricks, Wisconsin 4.15

60-yard Shuttle

Green 11.63
Housler 11.69
Pianalto 11.81

You can see why Cameron is turning some heads at the Combine already, and will likely reap the benefits when the draft rolls around. There’s no doubting his athleticism after the workouts. Cameron lit up the drills, putting together the best overall performance as analysts raved.

With the kickers, offensive linemen and tight ends out of the way, the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers hit the field on Sunday in what’s typically the most anticipated set of workouts at the Combine. Cam Newton, Jake Locker and a host of others hit the field early tomorrow morning at Lucas Oil Stadium.
