Tarvaris Jackson Injury Update: Seattle QB Doesn't Believe Pectoral Injury Will Require Surgery

Stay connected for news and updates

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson battled a pectoral injury for a large chunk of the 2011 NFL season. Although this past season was a career year for Jackson in many respects, the QB sees many areas of his game that are open for improvement in 2012. He also has high hopes that the strained pectoral muscle that caused him to miss games will not be a concern entering next year.

According to an AP article by Tim Booth, Jackson is operating under the belief that his injury will not require surgery. He hopes to spend the entire offseason working with the Seattle receivers. The goal is to strengthen the personal rapport between passer and receivers as well as improving the Seahawks passing game.

Jackson has a chance to pass 3,000 passing yards in Week 17's game against the Arizona Cardinals. He is expected to be the starting quarterback for Seattle once again in 2012.
