NFL Pro Bowl Rosters 2012: Seattle Seahawks Safety Earl Thomas Named Starter

Stay connected for news and updates

The Seattle Seahawks have to be pleased that someone is headed to the Pro Bowl. Earl Thomas has had one big-time season, compiling 92 tackles, scooping up two fumbles and picking off two more passes and deflecting six passes. It's been a nice season for the second-year safety out of Texas, and he's earned a trip to Hawaii for his efforts.

He might not be the only Seahawk who ends up there. Fullback Michael Robinson, fellow safety Kam Chancellor, and cornerback Brandon Browner are all first alternates, and could make it onto the team if any of the Pro Bowl starters at their position end up in the Super Bowl. Marshawn Lynch is the second alternate at running back, and punter Jon Ryan is the third alternate at his position.

The Pro Bowl team is determined by fan, player and coach vote with each group worth 1/3 the final vote.
