Seahawks vs. Bears, Score Update: Dueling Fumbles Lead to 7-7 Tie After First Quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

The Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears are duking it out up at chilly Soldier Field, and a pair of fumbled have led to easy scores for both teams, leading to a 7-7 tie after the first quarter.

Johnny Knox fumbled a 17 yard pass after a bone jarring hit from safety Kam Chancellor knocked him out of the game and sent off the field in a stretcher. Knox would be taken to the hospital for further evaluation. That would lead to a six yard Marshawn Lynch scramble to get the first score of the game.

Then Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson fumbled in the end zone a few minutes later, which would be recovered by Israel Idonije for a touchdown. Jackson would finish the first quarter 4/7 for 51 yards, led by tight end Cameron Morrah with one catch for 21 yards.
