Seahawks' QB Tarvaris Jackson has left the game against the Giants with an apparent shoulder injury. It was tough to see on the replay, but Seahawks' trainers are checking out either his shoulder or collarbone area. Jackson suffered the injury on a designed run where he picked up 11 yards and a first down. His return is questionable.
Before going out, Jackson was having a fairly strong showing, passing for 169 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 16 of 23 passing.
Now, the offense falls to Charlie Whitehurst, something a lot of Seahawks' fans were pining for during the early part of the season, when Jackson was struggling. Now, it's a little ironic that we finally get to see Whitehurst just when Jackson started clicking with this offense.
The Seahawks lead 16-14 with 7:02 left in the third quarter after getting a safety on the home Giants. After a back and forth, turnover plagued first half, both teams will look to clean up their act and take control of the game.
