The Portland Trailblazers are moments away from beginning a charity scrimmage at Seattle’s Garfield High. Though former rivals of the Seattle Sonics, the Blazers are led by Seattle native, and UW alum, Brandon Roy. In an effort to raise money for Garfield, Roy brought his Blazers to town, vowing to match the donations raised from ticket prices.
Enter Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. Never one to shy away from charity, Carroll will be in attendance at Garfield tonight, even throwing up the opening tip-off for the scrimmage.
