Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry, never one to shy away from an opinion on Twitter, sent out a tweet with his thoughts on the Branch trade, hoping he's not next in the rebuilding process.

Tim Hasselbeck, the brother of Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, took to Twitter to praise the Seahawks front office's work in trading Deion Branch.

If Moss was only worth a third-round pick, it boggles my mind that Seattle could unload Branch, an under-performing receiver during his time here, for a fourth. On the surface, it sure looks like Seattle put together a great deal for Branch and took advantage of a team that clearly needed another weapon for Tom Brady.

Branch, Lynch Trades Linked In An Odd Way

I hate comparing trades and insinuating different deals can be compared, but since Adam Schefter did it, I'll just go with what he said.

So the Seahawks essentially traded away a fourth round pick for Lynch then received one back for Branch. Through the transitive property, one could say Seattle traded Branch for Lynch.

The end result is the Seahawks only losing a conditional late-round pick for Lynch after gaining New England's in return for Branch. A week of wheeling and dealing for Seahawks GM John Schneider finally comes to a close with a successful ending.

The rumors have been floating since early last week and Branch's absence from practice raised some eyebrows in Seattle today. Hours later, we know why he missed practice.

Branch replaces Randy Moss, whom the Patriots traded to the Minnesota Vikings last week.
