Mariners Vs. Twins Final Score: Seattle Completes Sweep With 5-1 Win

The Seattle Mariners not only stayed hot by winning their fifth straight game on Sunday, but their 5-1 over the Minnesota Twins marked their third sweep since the All-Star Break. It's safe to say the team has been rejuvenated as of late and currently seems to be firing on all cylinders.

The Twins actually scored the first run in the game with a second-inning sacrifice fly from Trevor Plouffe. The Mariners took the lead in the third inning in unorthodox fashion. John Jaso drew a bases-loaded walk to tie things up and Jesus Montero managed a RBI double-play groundout to give the M's the 2-1 lead.

The Mariners didn't look back after that as Blake Beavan held things down. In the bottom of the seventh, MIchael Saunders hit a two-run homer and Eric Thames added an RBI double to comfortably pad the lead.
