The All-Star break begins with the MLB Futures Game. The best and brightest minor leaguers will play on Sunday.
On Sunday in Kansas City, the All-Star festivities will begin as the 2012 MLB Futures Game will be played. This game pits a U.S. team against a World team in a battle of the brightest players currently in the minor league organizations of MLB teams.
Taijuan Walker is of course a well-known name to Seattle Mariners fans. The pitcher will represent the M's on the U.S. team, as will pitcher Danny Hultzen. Hopefully both players will have ample opportunity to strut their stuff on a national stage and show the American League what they're in store for over the next couple of years.
The game will begin at 2 p.m. PT and will be televised nationally on ESPN 2, or you can catch the game online at MLB.tv.
