The Mariners visit the Royals for a four-game series at Kauffman Stadium. Can Seattle keep from stinking up the joint?

The Seattle Mariners were hoping to kick off the second half of their season on a winning note. Unfortunately, apart from a brilliant start from ace Felix Hernandez, the M's came up short in a series loss to the Texas Rangers.

On Monday, Seattle will head to Kauffman Stadium to kick off a four-game series against the Kansas City Royals. Both the Mariners and Royals are 3-7 over their last 10 games and could both benefit from some wins. The two teams will get very well acquainted with one another over the next four days.

TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers

Monday's game will begin at 5:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Jason Vargas gets the start for the Mariners and goes for his ninth win as he takes on Jonathan Sanchez, currently just 1-5 with a 6.75 ERA.

First pitch on Tuesday will be at 5:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. The Mariners have not yet announced their starter for this game, but lefty Everett Teaford gets the ball for the Royals. He enters the game with a 1-3 record and 5.52 ERA.

Wednesday's game will begin at 5:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Kevin Millwood has been exceedingly solid as of late but nonexistent run support has left him with a 3-7 record. He'll take on Royals ace Bruce Chen, who is 7-8.

The finale on Thursday will get started at 11:10 a.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Hernandez gets the start in this one and looks for his eighth win as he goes up against the 6-8 Luke Hochevar.
