The Mariners scored both runs in the top of the second inning on Miguel Olivo's fourth home run of the season. The White Sox cut the lead to 2-1 with a two-out, bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the second and tied things up in the bottom of the third on an RBI single by Alex Rios.

Chicago went ahead for good in the bottom of the fourth with RBI singles by Gordon Beckham and Rios.

Kevin Millwood fell to 3-5 by giving up four earned runs on seven hits and five walks in just four innings of work.
