Mariners Vs. Twins, Game 3 Final Score: Early Runs Lead To Series Victory In 5-2 Win

On Sunday, the Seattle Mariners secured a series win over the visiting Minnesota Twins. They won the rubber match -- and their second straight game -- behind starter Hector Noesi in a 5-2 win.

The Mariners scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning when Jesus Montero doubled home Dustin Ackley and Brendan Ryan. Kyle Seager followed up with an RBI single that plated Montero.

Mike Carp led off the bottom of the second with his first home run of the season to stretch the M's lead to 4-0. In the bottom of the fourth, Ackley hit his first triple of the year and came home on Ryan's sacrifice fly.

The Twins managed single runs in the seventh and ninth innings, but the Mariners held on for the win. Noesi had by far his best start of the season, going seven inning and allowing just four hits and three walks. He allowed just one run, coming on a solo shot by Ryan Doumit.
