The Mariners absolutely obliterated the Texas Rangers last night, and no sooner than they could optioned Steve Delabar back to Triple-A Tacoma. They didn't have a corresponding roster move until this morning, but all signs are pointing to young flame thrower Stephen Pryor as the latest member joining the M's pitching staff.
Pryor, 22, began his 2012 campaign with Double-A Jackson where he owned a 1-0 record with seven saves and a 1.13 ERA in 11 appearances. Pryor has since appeared in nine games for Triple-A Tacoma, pitching 12 innings without allowin a run while converting both of his save opportunities. He'll join the Mariners on Friday as they begin a three game set against the White Sox in Chicago.
Dave Mahler confirmed his call-up on Twitter this morning:
Confirmed by Pryors agent. RT @mtmmccann55: Welcome client Stephen Pryor to the big leagues!

Hopefully Pryor can continue his tear through the batting order once he joins the M's.
