The Seattle Mariners are looking to snap their losing streak. Will a series against the Colorado Rockies be the answer?
The Seattle Mariners are riding a four-game losing streak as they kick off their first interleague series of 2012 on Friday. The Mariners will visit the Colorado Rockies and hope that they can turn their luck around in the notoriously lively Coors Field.
Although the balls are kept in a humidor these days, the Colorado stadium always seems to invite inflated scores. The Mariners could certainly use the boost of confidence.
TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers
On Friday, the game will begin at 5:40 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. Kevin Millwood is in search of his second win and will get the start, coming off a terrific performance at Yankee Stadium. The Rockies will start Alex White, who is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA.
Saturday's game will start at 1:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. Jason Vargas has been the most consistent starter for the Mariners this year but was knocked around in Boston. He'll go up against Christian Friedrich, who has been impressive, sporting a 1-0 record and 1.38 ERA.
The finale on Sunday will start at 12:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on 710 ESPN. Blake Beavan is still looking for his second win of the season. The starting pitcher for the Rockies in this game is yet to be determined.
