Mariners Vs. Blue Jays, Game 3 Final Score: Seattle Ushered Out Of Town With 7-2 Loss

On Sunday, the Seatle Mariners attempted to pick up a series win in the finale of their tilt against the hometown Toronto Blue Jays, but were done in -- in large part -- by a five-run eighth inning in a 7-2 loss.

The Mariners got stated immediately, grabbing a 1-0 lead on a leadoff Chone Figgins home run, but would not score again until the top of the ninth inning, when it was too late to be of much assistance.

The Mariners managed to be up eight hits, but left an embarrassing 18 runners on base in the course of the game.

Mariners starter Jason Vagas gave up runs in the fifth and sixth innings, the latter coming on an Edwin Encarnacion solo home run. Encarnacion murdered the M's in this series, homering in all three games.

Steve Delabar and Charlie Furbush gave up the five runs during the Blue Jays rally in the bottom of the eighth inning, which culminated with a two-run Jeff Mathis homer off of Furbush.

Miguel Olivo would lead off the top of the ninth with a solo homer, perfectly bookending the Mariners loss. Olivo was the only M's batter to pick up as many as two hits in the game.
