In the first of many tributes on Friday, the section of 1st Ave. South that runs in front of the home plate entrance at Safeco Field was rightfully renamed. Now named Dave Niehaus Way, the street will forever be a reminder of the Hall of Fame broadcaster. Niehaus may be gone, but he left his mark on Seattle and the place the Mariners call home -- from the press box that bares his name to the street that carries visitors to the stadium.
