Seattle Mariners Uniform Change Ranked As No. 3 Best In Past 20 Years

Yahoo! Sports' Big League Stew blog ranked the MLB's top five best uniform changes in the past 20 years last Thursday.  This list was prompted by the Florida Marlins changing their name to the Miami Marlins and revealing their new uniforms last week.

Here's what Big League Stew had to say about the Mariners change:

While I still admire the very AL-looking trident logo, there's no question the M's nailed their compass logo when they introduced it in the early '90s. It's a classic look for a team that was born in 1977 and features the best use of teal from the color's crazy popularity boom (which is, to say, sparing).

The Mariners introduced their current compass logo in 1993 after shifting through three different logos since the franchise's birth in 1977.
