The Oregon Ducks posted a third-straight victory to start the 2012 season when they rolled the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 63-14, on Saturday Afternoon in Eugene.

The Ducks got off to a shaky start, falling behind 7-0 after the Golden Eagles capitalized on a fumbled punt by De'Anthony Thomas.

Thomas more than made up for his error, scoring on a 59-yard touchdown run, and adding two receiving touchdowns. In the end, Thomas posted 222 all-purpose yards on just ten touches.

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota had an efficient day, completing 21-28 passes for 308 yards and four touchdowns. He came out after the first drive of the third quarter, with the Ducks leading, 42-7. Sophomore Bryan Bennett replaced Mariota. Bennett was ineffective throwing the ball, completing just 2/5 passes with an interception, but he did rush for two scores.

The biggest beneficiary of the blowout was Oregon backup running back Byron Marshall, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on just 13 carries.

Arizona comes to Autzen Stadium next Saturday as Oregon opens up Pac-12 play. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
