Washington vs. Oregon 2012: Ducks make minor mistakes, continue winning ways over Dawgs

The Oregon Ducks faced what appeared to be their toughest opponent on paper this past weekend when the Washington Huskies came to town. UO addressed any thoughts the Dawgs had of pulling the upset on Saturday night, storming out to a 21-0 lead before cruising to a 52-21 win. For a team that had started slowly a few weeks in a row, there was about the Ducks performance.

SB Nation's Oregon blog, Addicted to Quack, took a look at the few miscues the team committed. They also had a pretty telling stat about the way this series has gone recently.

There were small mistakes. A couple of funky snaps. Rob Beard missed a fairly routine field goal. But I'm not sure that Oregon is going to face many teams capable of making those small mistakes any kind of a major problem.

Its been 3,263 days since the Washington Huskies have beaten the Oregon Ducks in football. Here's to many, many more.

The Ducks now have a bye week to rest up before the second half of Pac-12 play begins. Their first challenge will be in Tempe against the Arizona St. Sun Devils. Win that one and take care of business against Colorado at home, and the big road trip to Southern California awaits on Nov. 3 against the Trojans.
