Oregon State/Twitter
Oregon State is preparing to face Washington in Seattle on Saturday. Those preparations did not include painting a Beaver logo on the Space Needle, even if it seemed that way.

While at first glance that may look real -- and it wouldn't be the first time a Northwest rival has painted the Space Needle -- the image is nothing more than a clever alteration to this picture. However, in an effort to add to the intrigue, the Oregon State Twitter account tweeted a picture of a live webcam showing an orange topped Space Needle.

The original tweet with the picture has since been retweeted over 200 times with some believing it to be real. Thankfully, one other Twitter user was able to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Nothing like Twitter and a little Photoshop work to spice up an old rivalry. Kickoff for the game between the Beavers and Huskies is set for 7:15 p.m. PT from CenturyLink Field.
